M D Logistics

M D Logistics operates out of a small office on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road. We are in Room No 12 on the first floor of the Mughal B building. Being right opposite the Crawford Market Police Station means there is always something happening outside our windows. It is one of the busiest parts of the city, and the traffic downstairs never really stops moving. We spend most of our time dealing with paperwork and making sure the trucks are where they are supposed to be. The office is a bit of a climb up the stairs, and it’s filled with files and the sound of phones ringing. It’s not a quiet place to work, but in the logistics business, things are always moving fast. We don’t have a big team of people in suits. It’s just a few of us who know how the routes work and how to get things from one point to another without too much trouble. Sometimes the monsoon rains make everything a mess, and we have to spend all day on the phone sorting out delays. That’s just the reality of the job. We have been in this spot for a long time now. We know the tea sellers and the other shop owners on the street. It’s a tight space and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for us. We just focus on the daily tasks and keeping everything on schedule.
