M Babulal & Co

Our place is at 8, Shamal Bhuvan, tucked into Dr Deshmukh Lane. If you are familiar with Bhuleshwar or the Ratan Nagar side, you know how these streets can get. It is quite a narrow lane, and finding parking is always a bit of a headache, but we have been here at M Babulal & Co for quite some time. The building, Shamal Bhuvan, has that old Mumbai feel to it where everyone knows their neighbors. Our office is just a regular room filled with ledgers and the usual stuff you find in a trading business. There is usually a bit of a breeze if the window is open, though mostly you just hear the sounds of the market and people shouting down below. We get to work early because the lane gets crowded fast once the morning starts properly. It is not a shiny office with glass walls or anything like that. It is more about the desks, the chairs, and the work we have to get through before the day ends. We keep things simple here. Most of our day is spent talking to people who drop by or dealing with whatever comes in through the mail. It is a bit dusty sometimes because of the construction nearby, but we don't mind. This part of Bhuleshwar has a lot of energy, and being part of the Ratan Nagar area keeps us busy enough for most of the week. We just keep going.
