M. A. Kachwalla & Sons

M. A. Kachwalla & Sons has been at 97-99 Dhanji Street for a very long time. This is an old part of the city, and the streets are narrow and always crowded with people and handcarts. Our shop is right in the middle of all that chaos. We deal with glass and hardware, things that have been in the family for generations. The building itself shows its age, but it has character. We use P.O. Box 3418 for a lot of our mail because the street delivery can be a bit unreliable sometimes. Inside, it’s a bit dark and smells like old wood and metal. We have crates stacked up and samples everywhere. It’s not a modern retail store; it’s more of a traditional trading spot. We know many of the other shop owners on Dhanji Street. Most of our day is spent talking to regular customers and handling stock. We don't do any big marketing or have a flashy website. People know where we are and what we do. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so things are done in a specific way that hasn’t changed much over the years. We work hard from morning until the shutters go down in the evening. It’s a busy, noisy life on this street, but we wouldn’t really know what to do anywhere else. It’s just home for the business and has been for years.
