Luxwood International

Luxwood International is based in the Unique Industrial Estate over in Prabhadevi. We’re at unit 317 on Veer Sawarkar Marg. Being in Dadar means it’s always crowded and there’s never enough parking, but we’ve managed to stay here for a good while. Our unit is one of many in the estate, so you have to follow the signs to find us. It’s a functional space, nothing like those modern offices in the new glass buildings. We deal with international orders, so there’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls at odd hours to match different time zones. The walls are lined with samples and old calendars. We have a small team and we’ve all worked together for a long time, so we don't need many meetings. We just know the routine. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, so we end up taking the stairs. It keeps us moving, I suppose. The view outside isn't much, just more of the industrial estate and the busy street below. We don’t have a big fancy sign outside, just our name on the door. People who need us usually know how to find us. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a showroom; we just focus on getting the wood products out to where they need to go. It’s a busy life in a busy part of Mumbai, and we’re just part of the local scenery, working away.
