Lucky Plastics

You can find our unit at Sona Udyog on Parsi Panchayat Road in Andheri East. We are in space 5/B, which is right in the middle of a typical industrial estate setup. It is usually a bit of a struggle to get through the traffic in this part of town, especially when the monsoon rains start and the roads get messy. Inside the unit, you will always notice the smell of plastic and the sound of machines running. There is a constant hum in the background that we have all learned to ignore. This is definitely not a place for wearing suits or fancy clothes. We are usually in old shirts because things tend to get greasy or dusty very quickly when you are working on the floor. We make a wide variety of plastic items, so there are always stacks of bins and raw materials taking up every available inch of space. Sometimes it feels like we are completely running out of room, but we always manage to fit one more pallet in somehow. The neighbors in the nearby units are mostly doing similar manufacturing work, so there is a lot of loading and unloading happening in the alleys all day. We have been in this specific spot for many years and the walls are covered in marks from various projects. We do not have a fancy reception area. We just have a small, cluttered desk near the front door where we handle the bills and logs.
