J. K. Cement Ltd.

Our place is inside the Sun Mills Compound at No. 216. Lower Parel has changed a lot since we first started here. It used to be all mills, and now it’s full of offices and restaurants, but we are still here doing our thing. J. K. Cement Ltd. has a small space in this compound. It’s not a huge factory or anything; it’s more of an office where we manage the local side of things. The compound itself can be a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. We have some old desks and a lot of paper samples lying around. Sometimes the light in the hallway flickers, but we don't mind. We aren't trying to be the flashiest business in Mumbai. We just focus on the cement. People know the name, so we don't have to explain much. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to contractors who drop by. It’s a bit cramped when more than three people are in the office at once. Outside, the area is always buzzing with people from the nearby offices. We like the energy of Lower Parel. It keeps us feeling like we are part of the city. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just have a calendar and a clock. It’s a straightforward way to spend the workday, and it works for us. We just keep the files organized.
