Lookwell Ladies Parlour

Lookwell Ladies Parlour is over in Airoli, tucked into Shop 13 at Mahavir Plaza. We are in Sector 19, which is a pretty active part of Navi Mumbai. If you know where the Gaon Devi Mandir is, we are just across from there. You can usually hear the bells or see people heading to the temple throughout the day, which gives the street a nice feeling. The shop itself is just for women, so it is a spot where locals can come and just relax for a bit while getting their eyebrows done or a quick haircut. We have the usual chairs and mirrors, and the place is often filled with the smell of different shampoos. It is not a huge space, so it can get a bit crowded on Saturday afternoons when everyone has some party to go to. Sometimes the floor has a bit of hair on it for a few minutes before we can get to the broom, but that is just how it goes when it is busy. We have been here a while and know most of the ladies who live in the nearby flats. We don't do all that fancy talk you see in the big city salons. It is more of a local spot where people chat about their day while we work on their hair. The fan is usually clicking away overhead and we just keep things moving as best as we can from the morning until we close up at night.
