We are based in the 'C' Wing on the 16th floor of Trade World in Kamala City. Being in Lower Parel means we’re right in the middle of a very busy part of Mumbai. It’s a bit different from a factory floor, as we’re up in a high-rise building, but the work is still all about steel. We’ve been involved in this industry for a long time. From our windows, you can see the city stretching out, but inside, we’re focused on the logistics and the engineering side of big steel projects. It’s a lot of paperwork, coordination, and making sure the numbers add up. We don’t use any of that fancy corporate speak you hear in some of the other offices around here. We’re just plain-speaking people who know about metal and manufacturing. The elevators are always crowded, and the atmosphere in Kamala City is fast-paced. We have a small kitchen area where we make our own tea and coffee. Most of our day is spent on the phone or looking at technical drawings. We don't have a lot of decorations on the walls, just calendars and project charts. It’s a practical workspace for people who have been in the steel business for years. Even though we’re in a shiny building, we still have that old-school way of doing things. We just get the work done and head home like everyone else.
