Link Graphics Communication

Our shop is Shop No 3 in Gopal Chawl. We are in Worli, on P B Mar. It’s quite close to the Mahindra Towers. You wouldn’t think a graphics place would be in a chawl, but here we are. We have our printers and computers squeezed into the space. Link Graphics Communication is what we call it, but mostly we just do printing and design for the locals and some offices. Worli is a mix of big fancy buildings and old spots like ours. We like the contrast. People come in with files on thumb drives and ask us to fix the colors. We spend a lot of time looking at screens. It gets a bit cramped when three or four customers come in at once. We don't have a lobby with magazines. You just stand by the counter. We’ve been here since the days when things were done differently. Now it’s all digital, but the work is still the same. We make sure the ink is right and the paper is straight. It’s just us running the show. No big bosses or corporate rules. We just work until the jobs are done. Sometimes we stay late if a big order comes in. It’s just how we keep things moving in this part of the city. We don't mind the long hours because the work is interesting and every day is a bit different. The Sv Road is a bit of a trek from here, but we manage.
