Light Of Persia

Our place, Light Of Persia, is tucked away in Cumballa Hill on St Cyril Road. We are in Kiran Villa, which is an old building with a lot of character. It’s a quiet corner compared to the rest of Mumbai. When you walk in, it feels a bit like stepping back in time. We have high ceilings and old-fashioned windows. The air inside always smells a bit like tea and warm bread. We don't have neon signs or flashy lights. It’s just a simple setup with tables and chairs that have been here for years. A lot of the people who come in are older residents of Cumballa Hill who have been visiting us since they were young. They like to sit and read the newspaper while they have their chai. We also get younger people who like the quiet vibe. The service is a bit slow because we don't like to rush things. We take our time in the kitchen making sure everything is done the way it should be. Sometimes the cat from next door wanders in and we have to shoo it out. It’s a peaceful spot. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, serving simple food and drink in a nice old house. It’s nothing fancy, just a bit of history in a busy city.
