Leelawati Hospital

Leelawati Hospital is based in the Mangalsudha Building on S V Road in Khar West. Being right on S V Road means we are in the middle of all the action in Khar. It’s a busy hospital and we’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time. The building itself is older, not one of those new glass structures you see nowadays. We have different departments spread across the floors, and there are always nurses and doctors moving around. It’s a 24-hour kind of place, so the lights are never really off. We see all sorts of cases coming in from across Mumbai. Managing a hospital on such a busy road is a lot of work. The traffic outside never seems to stop, and it can be a bit noisy in the front areas. Inside, we just try to keep things as organized as possible for the patients. We have wards for people who need to stay and a small area where families can wait. It’s not a fancy hotel, it’s just a hospital where we focus on medical care. We deal with a lot of paperwork and technical stuff every day. The staff is used to the fast pace and the constant stream of people coming through the doors. We’ve been in the Mangalsudha Building for years and it’s just part of our daily life now to be here on S V Road. We just keep the place running day and night for the locals who need us.
