Being up on the 8th floor of Sunrise Tower gives us a decent view of Andheri East, though mostly it’s just other buildings and smog. Leaf Technologies has been in this MIDC spot for a good bit now. Getting here in the morning is always a challenge with the traffic, but that’s just Mumbai life. The elevators in Sunrise Tower can be slow, so we usually have time to chat before the day starts. We do tech work, mostly sitting at computers all day. It’s not a huge space, but we have enough room for everyone’s monitors and a small corner for lunch with a microwave that barely works. The air conditioning is always a bit too cold, so most of us keep sweaters at our desks even in the middle of summer. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just doing the work that comes in. Most days are pretty routine. We have our meetings, fix what's broken, and head home when the sun goes down and the traffic settles. Sometimes we go downstairs for tea at the local stall near the gate. It’s a bit of a trek from the 8th floor but worth it for the break. The office is full of old folders and spare parts. We don't spend much time cleaning up unless someone is coming over, which isn't often. We just keep our heads down and get on with the work.
