Our place is in the Shantiniketan MIDC Central Facility Building, room 425. Being in the MIDC area means there is always noise and movement. Trucks are constantly pulling in and out of the facility. It's a big building, so it takes a minute to find the right floor if you aren't used to it. We deal with transport, which basically means a lot of coordination and making sure things get loaded correctly. The office gets dusty because of all the construction and traffic nearby, but we don’t mind much. It’s a functional space. We start early in the morning, usually before the sun is fully up, to get ahead of the main traffic. Most of our day is spent talking to drivers or checking on where the vehicles are at. People come by to drop off documents or ask about rates. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that. It's just desks and files. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, so we take the stairs. The tea stall downstairs is where we usually end up talking shop with other people from the building. It’s a straightforward business. We move things from point A to point B. It sounds simple, but there’s always something that needs fixing or a route that’s blocked. We just take it day by day. There is no corporate manual here, just us doing the daily tasks that need attention to keep the trucks on the road and things moving.
