Leader Press

We are over at Plot No 274 in the Dr Damji Compound. It is quite close to the Ghatkopar Railway Station in the East. Being near the station means there is always a lot of movement around us. Leader Press has been here for a long time. The machines make a lot of noise throughout the day, so it is never really quiet inside. We have stacks of paper and ink smells everywhere. That is just how a press works. It is a bit of a dusty environment, but we are used to it. My father started this, and we just kept it going. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. If you come in, you will likely see us working on the machines or checking the print quality. We do a lot of different types of printing for people in the neighborhood and some businesses further away. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves. It is a lot of hands-on work. We don’t do much advertising; people mostly find us because they know the compound. The staff here has been with us for years. We eat lunch together and then get back to the stacks of paper. It is a simple life, but it keeps us occupied. We try to get the orders out on time, even when things get delayed. We just do the work and hope for the best.
