Lawrence Radiotors

Lawrence Radiotors has been sitting here in Shop No 1/A at Sterling Tower for a long time. Grant Road is a loud, busy place and we fit right in with all the noise of the traffic. Most days are spent covered in a bit of grease and dealing with radiators that have seen better days. People come to us when their cars are acting up or overheating in the Mumbai sun. We aren't a big fancy workshop with a waiting room and coffee. It is mostly just us working with our hands in the shop. Kaveripura is a tight area, so things get a bit cramped sometimes when there are too many parts lying around. We just get on with the work. Fixing a radiator takes time and patience, and that is what we do here every day from morning until late. We’ve seen all kinds of vehicles over the years. Some are old trucks and some are newer cars, but the problems are usually the same. My hands are rarely clean, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t have a website or anything like that, people just find us because they know where Sterling Tower is. It’s a practical business. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure engines don't melt down on the road. It is honest work and it keeps the lights on for my family and the two guys who help me out.
