Lata Dresses

We've been at 123 S. V. Road for quite some time now. Being in Khar West means it's always busy outside with the traffic and people walking by. The shop is full of racks and sometimes it feels a bit crowded when more than three people are inside at once. We sell dresses and some other stuff too. It’s not a big fancy showroom like the ones you see in the city malls. It’s just Lata Dresses. My aunt started this years ago and we just kept going with it. The Mumbai humidity can be a bit much but the old ceiling fan keeps things moving well enough. We spend a lot of time folding and refolding clothes because people like to see everything on the hangers. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the front for a bit which is annoying but we deal with it. We know most of the neighbors on this stretch of the road. People usually drop in on their way home from work to see what’s new. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people in. The floor gets dusty fast because of the main road but we sweep it a few times a day. It’s a plain shop with regular clothes for regular people. We try to keep things simple and just focus on what's in front of us. It’s just a normal part of the street where we do our daily business.
