Our office in Mumbai is tucked away in the 400097 zip code area. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy and crowded it gets around here. There is always the sound of traffic and horns blaring from the street below. We have been in this spot for quite a while now. The office itself is nothing special to look at, just a few rooms filled with desks and tall stacks of files that never seem to get smaller. Most of the staff comes in on the local trains, so the morning starts with everyone cooling off under the fans after the long commute. During the monsoon, the walls get a bit damp and the air feels heavy, but we just keep the windows shut and carry on with our work. We do not really do those fancy meetings with presentations. Usually, it is just us sitting around a table talking about what needs to get finished by the end of the week. We get our lunch from the small shops nearby and sometimes stand on the corner for a quick tea break. It is a fast-paced environment, but that is just how Mumbai is. We do not have much time for fluff or marketing talk. We just show up, do the hours, and head home in the evening heat. It is a bit of a grind, but we are used to it by now.
