L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited is over at the Powai Campus on Saki-Vihar Road. We are specifically in North Block-II on the 5th floor. The campus is huge, and Saki-Vihar Road is famous for its traffic, so just getting to the gate can be an ordeal in the morning. Once you get past security and walk over to North Block-II, you have to wait for the lifts since there are so many people working in this building. The 5th floor is quite busy. It’s a large open-plan office with rows and rows of desks and people on their headsets or typing away. It’s not exactly quiet, but everyone is focused on their own thing. You get a decent view of the campus greenery from the windows if you’re sitting in the right spot. The office has that typical smell of air conditioning and old carpets. We have a break area where people gather to talk about their weekends or complain about the commute. Even though it’s a big company name, the day-to-day is just us sitting at our desks and going through files and emails. It’s a lot of walking if you need to go to another department on a different floor. By the time the day ends, everyone is rushing back down to beat the evening rush on Saki-Vihar Road. It’s a bit of a grind, but that’s just how it is here. Most of us carry our own lunch boxes and eat together at the desks or in the pantry area.
