Lambas Punjabi Restaurant

You can find us over at 16, Chavda Apartment on the Sion Trombay Road in Chembur East. We are right opposite Diamond Garden, which is a nice landmark if you are trying to find the place. Being on a main road like this means there is always a lot of noise and people walking by. Our kitchen gets really hot during the lunch and dinner rush but we just get on with it. We have been serving Punjabi food here for a good while now. The tables are simple and we don't go in for fancy decorations or anything like that. It’s mostly just about getting the food out to the people who are hungry. We see a lot of families from the neighborhood and workers who just want a quick meal. Sometimes the sink in the back acts up or we run out of a certain ingredient because the delivery was late, but we manage. The staff mostly lives nearby so we are all locals. We don't do much marketing or anything because people usually just see the sign when they are stuck in traffic on Sion Trombay Road. It is a small space but we have a lot of memories here. We spend our days chopping onions and keeping the floor clean between the rushes. It is just a normal restaurant run by normal people who like to cook.
