Lalji Muji Transport Co

Lalji Muji Transport Co operates out of a small office on the second floor of Mehta Chamber. We are right in the middle of Dana Bunder, which is always noisy and crowded. Being near the Masjid Bunder Railway Station means there’s constant movement outside our windows. We handle a lot of transport work, mostly coordinating trucks and making sure goods get where they need to go. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit steep and the building is old, but it’s right where the action is for transport business. Inside the office, there are files everywhere and someone is usually on the phone talking to a driver or a warehouse manager. We’ve been at this address, 17 Dana Bunder, for quite a while now. The days are long and often start early because the markets around here wake up before the rest of the city. We don’t do anything fancy, just the basic work of moving cargo from one point to another. Sometimes the traffic in these narrow lanes makes everything take twice as long as it should, which can be frustrating for everyone involved. We try to keep track of all the paperwork, though it gets a bit overwhelming when things are busy. It’s a tough business but we know the routes and the people in the area well. Most of our day is spent balancing schedules and trying to solve problems as they come up on the road.
