Lal Garage

Lal Garage is located at 63 E Malabar Hill, specifically in the Dashmesh Nagar area on Gillroad. We’re in Shimla House, which is quite close to the Hyderabad Estate. It’s a garage, so as you can imagine, it’s often loud and there is usually oil on the floor. We’ve been fixing cars and handling mechanical repairs here for a long time. The space is filled with tools, spare parts, and whatever vehicles we are working on at the moment. It’s not a polished service center; it’s a real workshop where we get our hands dirty. Most of our customers are locals from Malabar Hill who have been bringing their cars to us for years because they know we’ll just tell them what’s wrong and fix it. We don't have a waiting room with a coffee machine or anything like that. Usually, people just drop their keys off and we give them a call when the work is finished. Sometimes we’re waiting on a part to arrive, so a car might sit for an extra day, but we try to get things back on the road quickly. It’s a small crew of mechanics who really know their way around an engine. We enjoy the work and the regulars who stop by just to chat for a minute while we’re working. It’s just an honest, local garage where the work is real and the tools are always in use. We keep things simple here.
