Lakme Beauty Salon

We are located in Dahisar, tucked away in the A Wing of Avadhoot Nagar A 4. It’s flat number 8 on the Shivaji Road side. Being near the Dahisar Subway makes it easy for people to find us once they get the hang of the layout. Mumbai is always moving, and it stays pretty busy outside our windows. Inside, it’s a bit different. We have the chairs lined up and the mirrors stay pretty clean. You can usually smell the hair products or the nail polish as soon as you walk in. It’s not a huge space, but we make it work for everyone who comes by. Sometimes the wait is a little long on Saturdays, so people sit and read old magazines. We try to keep the water cooler filled and the lights bright. The building itself is one of those typical Mumbai wings where everyone knows everyone. Dealing with the traffic on Shivaji Road is part of the job, especially when deliveries are trying to get through. Most of our regulars live right here in Dahisar or commute through the subway. It gets a bit humid inside during the rains, so we keep the AC running as much as possible. It is just a regular salon where we talk about the news and help people with their hair or whatever they need. Nothing too complicated about how we run things here in the flat.
