L. B. Aroma & Chem Pvt. Ltd.

We’re over at E/414 in Crystal Plaza, which is right on the New Link Road in Andheri West. It’s a busy building in a busy part of Mumbai. L. B. Aroma & Chem is basically about scents and chemicals, so the office usually smells a bit better than the street outside. Andheri West is always packed, and finding a parking spot near Crystal Plaza is almost impossible most days. The office itself is a bit cramped because we have so many samples and files everywhere. We handle a lot of different aromas, and it’s interesting to see what people are looking for. The staff is a mix of people who have been in the chemical trade for decades and some younger folks. We don't have a big corporate culture; it’s more like a small group of people trying to keep up with orders. The traffic on Link Road is a constant backdrop to our work day. You can hear the rickshaws and the construction all the time. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and customers. It’s a lot of coordinating and making sure the mixtures are exactly what was asked for. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Mumbai, just a reliable one that knows their stuff. Lunch usually comes from one of the stalls downstairs or a tiffin from home. It’s just typical Mumbai office life for us.
