Our small office is at B-12 in the Seva Sadan building on Dashrathlal Joshi Road. We are right in the heart of Vile Parle West, which means there is never a dull moment. Between the train station and the local markets, the street outside is always full of people. We have been here for quite some time now, running our hospitality company from this single room. It is not much to look at, just a few desks, some old filing cabinets, and a kettle for making tea. We spend most of our time on the phone or typing away on our computers to keep our services running. We do not have a marketing team or anyone to make us look bigger than we are. We are just a small local business trying to do a decent job every day. Sometimes the elevator in the building stops working and we have to carry boxes up the stairs, but that is just part of being in an older building in Mumbai. We focus on the basics of hospitality, like making sure the rooms we manage are clean and the guests are happy. We do not have any grand plans to take over the world. We just want to keep our doors open and our customers satisfied. It is a lot of mundane work, like checking bills and talking to plumbers, but we take pride in doing it well. We like being in Vile Parle because it feels like a real community where people still know each other.
