Kurla Janta Transport

Kurla Janta Transport is over at 24 Masjid. It is one of those places where there is always a lot of movement. Being in the Masjid area means you are right in the thick of the loading and unloading that happens all hours of the day. We don't have a fancy office; it is more about the trucks and the goods. Most of our time is spent on the phone or talking to the drivers who are coming in from long trips. The noise of the street is just something we live with. It gets very dusty and loud, but that is the nature of transport work in this city. We handle a lot of paperwork, checking manifests, and making sure the loads are balanced. There aren’t any big meetings or polished presentations here. We just sit on wooden chairs and get through the logs. Sometimes things get delayed, and we have to figure out a way to fix it on the fly. It is a tough job and the hours are long, but we have been doing it this way for years. We know the narrow lanes around here like the back of our hand. It is just about moving things from one place to another without too much trouble. Every day is different depending on what needs to be moved, but the location stays the same. We just drink our tea and wait for the next delivery to arrive.
