Krishna Mobile

Krishna Mobile is our shop at 19 Dr D N Road in Andheri East. It’s right in the middle of everything, so there is never a moment of silence with the buses and cars honking outside. The shop itself is quite packed. We have mobile covers of every color hanging from the ceiling and charging cables tangled in bins. It might look a little disorganized to someone walking in for the first time, but we know exactly where everything is kept. The counter is a bit scratched up from years of sliding phones across it. We spend a lot of time talking to customers about what they need or trying to explain how a new charger works. It gets dusty pretty fast because of the main road, so we are always wiping things down with a rag. We don't have a big corporate structure or a manager in a suit. It’s just us, working the hours and making sure we have enough stock for the next day. Sometimes the rain comes down so hard we have to move the displays back from the door. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still here at number 19. It’s a simple, practical life and we are happy to be part of the local community in Andheri.
