Kothari Enterprises

Kothari Enterprises is located in Omkar Estate 1, which is in Mulund West. The estate is a bit of a maze with all the different units and trucks trying to turn around in narrow lanes. Our space is basically a warehouse with a small section partitioned off for the office. It’s mostly concrete floors and high ceilings that echo when you talk. We have a lot of heavy boxes stacked up on pallets, and the forklift makes a lot of noise when it’s running. The office part is just a couple of metal desks and a filing cabinet that doesn’t lock properly anymore. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking invoices against what’s arrived in the crates. It gets quite dusty because of the industrial nature of the estate. We don’t really have visitors, mostly just delivery drivers and the occasional neighbor from another unit coming over to borrow a tool. Mulund West has changed a lot, but this estate feels like it’s stayed the same for years. We eat our lunch together at one of the desks, usually something packed from home. There’s no air conditioning, just a big wall fan that rattles when it’s on the high setting. We just keep our heads down and manage the stock as it comes and goes. It’s a steady rhythm here at Kothari Enterprises, and there is nothing flashy about it. We just get through the lists.
