Kotak Transport Services

We are based out of Shop 9 in the Pankaj Shopping Centre. It’s in Santacruz East, right near Nehru and Barve Nagar. The shop isn't much to look at, just a place for us to keep our logs and take calls. Most of the work happens outside with the vehicles. We spend a lot of time on the phone tracking where everyone is. Traffic in Santacruz is usually a mess, so that takes up most of our conversations. The desk is always messy with receipts and old logbooks. We have a small bench outside where drivers sit and wait for their next turn. It’s a busy spot. We’ve been at this for several years now. We know the roads around Barve Nagar like the back of our hand. Sometimes things go wrong, a truck breaks down or a delivery is late because of rain. We just handle it. It’s hard work and it gets noisy. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up. Usually, there's a lot of shouting involved because of the street noise. We drink coffee from the stall nearby. It keeps us going during the long shifts. That’s pretty much what Kotak Transport Services is about. Just moving things from one place to another. We stay busy and don't worry about the small stuff.
