If you’ve ever been down Mohammedali Road, you know how chaotic it gets. Our office is in Maskati House at number 76, right next to the Bombay Mercantile Bank headquarters. It’s a very old part of the city. We’ve been operating from this spot for decades. The building has those high ceilings and heavy doors. We deal with chemicals and various industrial supplies. Most of our work happens over the phone or with people dropping by to check on their accounts. It’s a busy environment. There is always the sound of horns and shouting from the street below. We don’t have any fancy carpets or modern glass walls. It’s just a place of business with old wooden desks and piles of ledgers. Some of us have worked here since we were young. You get used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. We supply materials to various industries, and it’s mostly about knowing who needs what and when. The logistics of getting trucks in and out of this area is a nightmare, but we manage it somehow. We don’t spend money on big ads. People in the trade know where Maskati House is. We just open up in the morning, drink our tea, and get through the paperwork. It’s a bit cramped and the stairs are steep, but this is where the business is rooted. It's a very traditional way of doing things that hasn't changed much.
