Kokan Sagar Hotel

You can find Kokan Sagar Hotel on S V Road, right in the Harmony Hm building. It is a busy stretch of road, so there is always a lot of honking and dust coming in from the front. We are more of a casual dining spot where folks stop by for a quick lunch or a simple dinner. The menu is based on what we know how to cook, mostly dishes from the Kokan region since that is where our roots are. The interior is pretty basic with some old wooden tables and chairs that have been around for years. We do not have air conditioning, so the ceiling fans stay on high all day long. It gets pretty humid when the kitchen is in full swing. Our cooks have been with us for a long time and they do not use measuring cups; they just go by feel and taste. Sometimes a dish might be a little spicier than usual, but that is just how it is with handmade food. We serve a lot of rice and curry plates to people who work nearby. It is not a place for a quiet conversation because of the S V Road traffic, but the food is honest. We are just a small team trying to make a living and providing a place where people can eat without spending too much. We open early and close once the last customer leaves for the night.
