Our place at 14/B Charni Road is right in the thick of things. If you know this area, you know it’s always busy with people heading to the station or the market. We have been operating out of this small unit for quite a while. It’s got high ceilings but the walls are covered in shelves from floor to ceiling to make use of every inch of space. We handle a bit of everything here, mostly dealing with different types of goods that come and go. It’s not a fancy corporate office. The furniture is a bit mismatched and the tea lady comes by twice a day, which is the highlight of our afternoons. We have a lot of regular walk-ins, mostly people who work in the nearby offices and need something quickly on their lunch break. Sometimes the rains cause a bit of a leak near the window, so we keep a bucket handy, but that’s just part of being in an old building. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. Word of mouth has always been enough for us. We just try to be fair and do right by the people who choose to step into our shop. It's a simple way of doing business, and it has served us well through the years in Charni Road. We might not have the newest setup, but we know our trade and we show up every single morning.
