Kohinoor Surgicals

Our office is No. 215 in the Allied Industrial Estate on Ram Panjvani Marg. It’s right near M. M. C. Road in Mahim West. The industrial estate is a busy place with lots of small businesses and workshops. There is always the sound of machines or trucks loading and unloading. Kohinoor Surgicals is located on the second floor. The corridors are a bit dimly lit and it smells like grease and metal sometimes. Our unit is mostly filled with boxes and some shelves. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room because we don't really need one. Most people we deal with are suppliers or delivery drivers. We’ve got a small desk near the window where the light is better for reading invoices. The fans run all day to keep the air moving. It’s a bit of a walk from the Mahim station, especially when it’s hot outside. We usually bring our own lunch and eat it at our desks. There’s a guy who brings tea around in the afternoons, which is the highlight of the day for some of us. We’ve been in this spot for several years and know most of the other tenants in the building. It’s a gritty, hardworking environment and we just fit right into the middle of it all. Nothing fancy, just a regular workplace. We keep a stash of biscuits in the drawer for when the afternoon slump hits us hard.
