Our shop is number 4 in the Neel Sagar Society. We are in Mulund East, not too far from the Eastern Majesty tower and Worli Naka. It is a decent little spot in a residential area, so we see a lot of the same faces every day. We aren't a big company with hundreds of employees, just a local business trying to get things right. The shop is small but we make the most of the space we have. Most days start with us opening up the shutters and dusting off the counters. There is a lot of walking traffic around here, especially in the evenings when people are coming home from work. We do various bits of innovative work, though mostly it feels like just solving problems for people as they come in. The neighbors are nice, and we often chat with the other shop owners while we wait for customers. It gets a bit dusty being so close to the main roads, but that’s part of being in Mumbai. We don't have a lot of fancy signs or lights. We just have our name on the door and our products on the shelves. It is a quiet kind of work most of the time. We try to be helpful when someone asks a question, even if it’s just for directions. Being part of the Neel Sagar building means we feel like part of the community here. We stay open pretty late to make sure we catch everyone before they go home.
