Kitkat Family Restaurant

We are located in Palekar Chambers over at Dhobi Talao. It’s on 1st Marine Street, right opposite the Metro Cinema. If you know that part of Mumbai, you know it is always crowded and there is a lot of history there. We have been here at Anandilal Poddar Marg for quite some time now. The building is old and has that classic South Mumbai feel to it. It gets really busy when there is a big movie playing at Metro. People are always rushing past on their way to the station or the cinema. We just keep our heads down and do our work. It’s a family-run kind of thing, nothing too fancy. The kitchen stays busy and we try to keep up with everything. Sometimes the street noise is a bit much but you get used to it. We aren't trying to be the most modern place in the city, we just want to serve the people who come in. A lot of our regulars have been coming for years. We know their names and what they like. It is just a normal restaurant life in a very busy part of the city. We don't have a big marketing plan, we just open the doors and start cooking every morning. If you are ever near Dhobi Talao, you can’t miss us because of the cinema across the street. We’ve been through a lot of changes in Mumbai but we stay right here on Marine Street.
