Gala No. 8 and 9 in Ashpura Society is where we are. It’s on J M Mandir Road in Asalfa, Ghatkopar. If you’ve ever been to Ghatkopar, you know how packed it gets. Finding our place for the first time can be a bit of a headache because of all the small lanes and people everywhere. The society has several small units like ours. We have two galas side by side, which gives us just enough room to keep our stock and a couple of desks. Kishan Chemicals isn't a huge operation. It’s just a handful of us working here. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the lights flicker sometimes when the heavy machinery in the next unit starts up. We spend most of our time moving barrels and checking lists. It gets really hot in the afternoons, so we keep the doors open to get some air from the street, even if it brings in the noise. There’s a temple nearby, so we hear the bells and the prayers every morning and evening. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes with all the paperwork piled up on the desks. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. People just walk in and talk to whoever is free. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve been in Asalfa for a long time now. It’s not fancy, but it is where we do our daily work.
