King Of Iran Restaurant

You will find King Of Iran Restaurant at 9 Yusuf Chamber on Jijabai Marg in Byculla. We are right near the old Palace Cinema and across from the Gloria Church. That church is a beautiful old building, and sometimes we just sit by the window and watch the people going in and out for service. Byculla has changed a lot over the years, but this particular corner still feels a bit like the old days of Mumbai. The restaurant has that classic look with high ceilings and heavy wooden tables. We are not trying to be a modern cafe with Wi-Fi and fancy lattes or anything like that. We just serve the food we have always served here. The floor is made of old tiles that have been walked on by thousands of people over the decades. It is a bit noisy because of the heavy traffic on the main road, but once you sit down and get your food, you kind of get used to the sounds. I usually arrive early to help the kitchen staff get the ovens going for the day. There is always a smell of tea and fresh bread in the air in the mornings. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us who have been working here for years. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming since they were kids. It is a simple life running a place like this in Byculla.
