King Falcon Bar & Restaurant

If you go down to Grant Road and look for the Alfred Building on Pathe Bapurao Marg, you will find our bar and restaurant. We are right across from the Delhi Darbar, which is a pretty big landmark around this part of Mumbai. Grant Road is one of those places that never really sleeps, so there is always noise from the taxis and the people walking on the sidewalk. Our building is quite old, and you can really feel that when you walk in. The walls are thick and the ceiling is high up. We do not have fancy decorations or modern lighting, just the same tables and chairs we have had for years. It is a bit dark inside, which people seem to like after being out in the bright Mumbai sun all day. We spend a lot of time wiping down the bar and making sure the bottles are lined up behind the counter. The kitchen is small but we make it work for the menu we have. Usually, the evening is when things really pick up and the place gets loud with everyone talking over their drinks. It is not a place for a quiet, formal dinner; it is more for people who want to relax after a long work shift. We see a lot of the same regulars every night, people who live in the buildings nearby. It is a bit worn out in places, but it has got some character to it.
