Khosla Enterprises

Khosla Enterprises has been around Santacruz West for a long time. Our place is on a street that gets quite a lot of foot traffic, which is good but also pretty noisy. We do a bit of everything here, mostly general trading and supply. People come to us when they need something specific and don’t want to go all the way into the main city markets. It’s a family-run sort of thing, so you’ll usually see the same faces behind the counter every day. The building itself is older, and we’ve had to fix the roof a couple of times after the monsoon rains. We keep the shelves packed with whatever is in demand at the moment. It might look a bit cluttered to an outsider, but we know exactly where every single item is kept. It’s not a corporate office with air conditioning and fancy chairs. We have a few old fans that do their best. Dealing with suppliers takes up most of my morning, and the afternoons are for the walk-in customers. We don’t really do any advertising; word of mouth in Santacruz seems to work just fine for us. If we don’t have what you’re looking for, I usually tell people which shop down the road might have it. It’s just about being helpful and making a living. The tea stall nearby keeps us going through the long afternoons. It's not always easy, but it's our way of life.
