Khopta Women Farmers Producer Company Limited

Some women in Khopte started this. It's mostly about farming near Uran and Raigarh. We are based out of a house in Koproli. It's a lot of work getting everyone together. Sometimes the weather is bad. We grow what we can. It started small. Now we are a producer company but still just regular people. Mumbai is close but we are out here in the dirt. Life on the farm is hard but it's what we know. We share seeds and tools. There are many of us now. It's better than working alone. The office is at house 106-A. It's not a big fancy building. Just a place to meet and talk about crops. We deal with the markets. It can be frustrating. We try to keep things moving. The soil here has its own quirks. You learn as you go. Everyone puts in effort. We are just trying to make it work for the families around here. The heat in Raigarh can be something else in May. We all just sit under the trees and figure out who is taking what to the market. My cousin helps with the transport sometimes when his truck is running. We don't have a lot of money for advertising. Most people know us just by word of mouth in Koproli. We are just regular women who know the land and want to make a living. We take it one season at a time and hope for rain.
