Khoobsurat

We have been here at Shop No 7 in the Andheri Citizen Building for a good while now. It is right in the middle of the Lokhanwala Complex, tucked in next to the Hi-Point Hotel. Most days start the same way, with us rolling up the shutters and seeing who is walking by on their way to grab breakfast or heading to work. The shop itself is not huge, but we make the most of the space we have. You can usually find us sorting through things or just chatting with someone who popped in to see what is new. It gets busy in the evenings when everyone is out for a stroll. We see a lot of the same faces from around the neighborhood, which is nice because you get to know people after a few years. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit much, especially with the hotel right there, but you get used to the noise. We just keep things simple here. There is always a pile of boxes in the back that needs attention, and the phone rings more than it probably should. We try to keep the place looking decent, though things get messy when we are busy. It is just a regular local shop where we try to get through the daily tasks without too much fuss. Being in this part of Andheri means there is always something going on outside our door, and we have become a small part of that daily rhythm.
