Khatri Art Jewellers

Our shop is at 105 Kazi Street, not far from the Pydhonie area. It’s a small place, but we’ve been here for a long time. We have a glass counter where we show the pieces we have, and some old stools for people to sit on while they look. Most of what we do involves traditional designs that we've been making for generations. The lighting inside is bright so people can see the details of the jewelry properly. We don't have any big advertisements outside, just the name of the shop on a board. People usually find us through word of mouth or because their families have been coming to us for years. The street outside is usually busy with motorcycles and shoppers. We spend our days either talking to customers or working on small repairs at the back bench. It’s a quiet kind of work that requires a lot of patience. Sometimes we just sit and drink tea while waiting for the next person to walk in. We don't use any fancy sales tactics or pushy talk. We just show what we have and tell people the price. The floor is old tile that's a bit cracked in the doorway, but it doesn't bother anyone who visits. It’s a simple, honest business. We like the history of this neighborhood and being a part of it for so many years. It is just our way of living and working.
