KGS Sugar & Infra Corporation Ltd

Our office is located on the eighth floor of K P Aurum in Marol. It’s right on Marol Maroshi Road in Andheri East, so you can imagine how the traffic is around here. Being in the sugar and infra business means we have a lot of different things going on at once. The office is usually a bit chaotic with people coming in and out and phones ringing. From the 806 unit, we can see a lot of the surrounding area, which is mostly other office buildings and the constant movement of the city. We have a lot of meetings about projects and supply chains. It’s a standard Andheri office setup with cubicles and a small pantry for making coffee. The building itself is quite modern, but inside our doors, it’s just a group of people working through spreadsheets and reports. Sugar is a seasonal business in many ways, so some months are much more stressful than others. We don’t really do anything for show; the furniture is practical and we focus on the tasks at hand. Most of us take the metro or buses because driving in Marol is a nightmare. We usually stay late to finish things up, especially when there are big infrastructure projects on the go. It’s a busy life in a busy part of Mumbai, and we just keep pushing through the daily grind together to get things finished on time.
