Our office is located right on S V Road in Mahim, specifically in a building called Akbar Manzil. We are in units 4 and 5 on one of the floors there. If you are familiar with the area, you’ll know we are directly opposite Saint Michael Church. It is a very lively part of Mumbai, so there is always the sound of traffic and people outside our windows. The office itself is pretty simple. We have our desks, some old filing cabinets, and a couple of computers that have seen better days. We don't have a big reception area or anyone standing at the door to greet people. It is just a few of us working on the daily paperwork and managing the group's affairs. Usually, there are files stacked up on the tables, and the phone rings more often than we’d like. Parking on S V Road is almost impossible most days, so we usually tell people to take the train or a rickshaw if they are coming to see us. The building is one of the older ones in the neighborhood, so it has a bit of character, even if the stairs are a little narrow and steep. We mostly just keep our heads down and try to get through the list of things to do before it’s time to head home. We often grab a tea from the stall downstairs when we need a break from the screen. It is a straightforward, busy workplace.
