Keira Spa N Salon is up on the first floor of Arun Chambers. We are at room 317 on Shahid Bhagat Singh Road in Fort. If you find Excellence Restaurant, we are just right above it. Mumbai is always moving so fast, but up here it’s a bit slower. I’ve been working in Fort for years now. The building is one of those old Mumbai ones, so the lift is a bit moody sometimes. Most people just take the stairs if they are fit enough. We have a mix of spa rooms and salon chairs. It’s not a massive space, but we used every corner we could. The windows look out onto the street which is nice. Sometimes you can smell the food from downstairs during lunch. We do massages and hair stuff mainly. It gets really humid in Mumbai, so we keep the cooling on high all day long. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking, and other days we don't even have time to eat. We get a lot of office people from around the Fort area. It’s not a fancy five-star place, just a decent spot to get your nails done or have a head massage. I keep the towels in a stack near the door. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't got around to it yet. We just try to do a good job.
