K.C. Industries

K.C. Industries is tucked away in Mehta Estate, over in Camp No. 2. We're right off Azad Road in Andheri-East. If you know this area, you know it's always crowded and there's always something going on. We've been operating out of this spot for a good number of years now. It’s an old building, nothing special to look at, but it’s home to us. The stairs are a bit steep and the paint is peeling in places. We spend most of our time on the shop floor. It’s noisy with the machines running but that’s just the sound of work getting done. We don't have a big office staff or anyone to answer the phones in a professional way. It's mostly just a few of us handling everything from the paperwork to the heavy lifting. Andheri-East is a central spot so it's easy for deliveries, though the traffic on Azad Road can be a real nightmare during rush hour. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go in this estate over the years. We just keep our heads down and do what we do. It’s a practical setup. No leather chairs or glass walls here. We have a small kettle for tea and a couple of old desks piled with folders. We know the local tea stall guy by name and he brings us cutting chai twice a day. That’s how it is here. Just a regular business doing regular work in a busy part of the city.
