K.B. Bhabha Municipal Hospital

K.B. Bhabha Municipal Hospital is over in the Chakala MIDC area. Being a municipal hospital, we stay pretty busy with a lot of people coming in from the industrial area and the surrounding neighborhoods. It's not a private, quiet clinic by any means. There’s usually a bit of noise and a lot of movement. We handle everything from minor scrapes to more serious stuff that happens in the factories nearby. The building is a government one, so it has that look and feel. We don't have a lot of money for decorations, so the walls are just plain. Our staff works hard, often doing double shifts because there are so many patients. We try to keep the lines moving as fast as possible. It’s a lot of paperwork and basic care. We don't have a PR person to make us look good; we just do the work. The location in Chakala makes it easy for workers to get here if something goes wrong on the job. It can be a tough environment, but it’s important for the community. We see a lot of different people every day. Some are having a bad day, and some are just here for a checkup. We take them all as they come. It’s just a plain, hardworking hospital in MIDC. We’ve been here a long time and we’ll probably be here much longer.
