Kayvee Engineering Works

Down at 225-B in Malad West, you will find our engineering workshop. It is usually pretty loud because of the machines running all day. We do a lot of different types of metalwork and repair jobs here. The floor is usually covered in some shavings or oil, no matter how much we try to sweep it up during the day. It’s an honest place where we just focus on the technical stuff. We have a couple of older machines that still work better than the new ones sometimes. People from the area bring us parts that need fixing or things that need to be made from scratch. It is mostly just a lot of measuring, cutting, and welding. Sometimes we stay late when a job is particularly stubborn or if someone needs something done by tomorrow morning. Malad has changed a lot since we started, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We don’t have a front desk person or a shiny showroom, you just walk in and talk to whoever isn't currently wearing a welding mask. It gets hot in the summer with all the machinery going, but that is just how it is in this line of work. We handle the tools and the metal and try to make sure everything fits the way it is supposed to before it leaves the shop. Just a local engineering spot doing our thing.
