Kaware Transport

Our transport office is located in Room 12 of the Dr Dubey Compound. It is over in the Dahisar Best Colony area, right across from the Agrawal Industrial Estate. It is a busy little corner of the city. We have trucks coming in and out at all sorts of odd hours during the night and day. The compound itself is always full of activity, with people moving heavy crates or mechanics fixing engines in the shade. It can be a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when a big lorry tries to turn around in the yard, but we always manage to make it work. The office is just a simple room with some plastic chairs and a wooden table where we keep all the transport manifests. We don't have any air conditioning, so we usually keep the windows wide open to catch a breeze, which means we hear everything happening in the industrial estate across the road. It is a gritty job, and we usually end our shifts with some grease on our hands or dust on our clothes. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to make sure the loads get to where they are supposed to go on time. My brother and I run the place together, and we even do a lot of the driving ourselves when one of our regular drivers is out. It’s a lot of time on the road.
