Karuna Hospital

We are located right on Marine Line Road, not too far from the old Liberty cinema. It’s a very well-known part of the city, and the building has been standing here for quite a while. The area always has a lot of energy, with people rushing to and from the station and the various offices nearby. Being on Marine Line Road means we get a lot of sea breeze, but also a lot of salt in the air which isn't great for the building's exterior. Inside, the hospital is a bit of a maze with different departments spread across the floors. It’s an older structure, so the ceilings are high but the rooms can feel a bit narrow sometimes. We have a lot of history here, and many of the doctors have been walking these halls for decades. It’s a busy spot, and the waiting rooms are usually full of people from all walks of life. We don't have the fancy glass walls or the modern art you see in new private clinics; it’s just a functional hospital with a lot of character. The staff is usually busy running from one floor to the other. Sometimes the elevators take a minute, so we end up using the stairs a lot. It’s just a regular part of the South Mumbai landscape. We just focus on seeing the patients who come through the door and making sure the daily tasks are finished by the end of shift.
