Our office is over in Vikhroli East, tucked away in Sitaram Chawl. It’s a small space, Group No 4, if you’re trying to find the exact spot in Koldongri. We’ve been here for a good amount of time now. Most people come in just to ask about train tickets or bus timings. It’s not a fancy travel agency with posters everywhere. We have a couple of computers and some chairs that have seen better days. It gets crowded in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work. We talk to a lot of neighbors. Sometimes we spend the whole afternoon just explaining how a certain route works. It’s part of the job. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we haven’t got around to it yet. We use a lot of paper. There’s always a stack of forms on the desk. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we have to tell people to wait a bit. It’s just the way it is. We know the people around here well. They drop by even when they aren't going anywhere, just to say hello. Karim Tours Travel is just a local place. We don't do big ads. Word of mouth works fine for us in the chawl. We're usually here until late evening. It can get noisy with the kids playing outside, but we are used to it by now.
